Preparation Steps
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
- Mash the ripe bananas until mostly smooth in a mixing bowl.
- Stir melted butter into the bananas, then add baking soda and salt, mixing until combined.
- Mix in granulated sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually fold in all-purpose flour until just combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together ground cinnamon and brown sugar for the swirl.
- Pour half of the banana batter into the loaf pan and sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture.
- Pour the remaining banana batter over the swirl and add the last portion of cinnamon mixture on top.
- Gently swirl through the batter with a knife to create a marbled effect.
- Bake for 60 to 65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
