- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the sliced smoked sausage. Sear for about 5-7 minutes until browned.
- Melt a tablespoon of butter in the same skillet over medium heat. Add finely diced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until soft.
- Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
- In a medium saucepan, whisk softened cream cheese until smooth, then gradually add heavy whipping cream and simmer over low heat for 3-5 minutes.
- Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted, season with salt and pepper.
- In a large bowl, combine cooked sausage, cauliflower, and broccoli florets. Pour cheese sauce over and stir until coated.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish, spread evenly, and bake for 15-20 minutes until bubbling and golden brown.
