Directions
- Prep all ingredients: slice kielbasa, chop onion, mince garlic, slice carrots, shred cabbage, and chop dill.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add sliced kielbasa and brown for 5 minutes, then set aside.
- In the same pot, sauté onion, garlic, and carrots for 3 minutes until onion is translucent.
- Stir in paprika and cumin, then add chicken broth and bring to boil.
- Add shredded cabbage to the boiling broth, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in cheese spread until melted, then add pierogi and boil until they float, about 3-5 minutes for fresh or 6-8 minutes for frozen.
- Return kielbasa to pot with chopped dill, season with black pepper, and serve warm.
