Ingredients
  

For the Pasta
  • 12 oz Linguine or Spaghetti Can be swapped with any type of pasta.
  • 1 lb Large Shrimp Peeled and deveined.
For the Sauce
  • 4 tbsp Butter Can use olive oil for a lighter version.
  • 4 cloves Garlic Freshly minced.
  • 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes Adjust to taste.
  • 0.5 cup White Wine or Chicken Broth Vegetable broth for non-alcoholic option.
  • 1 ea Lemon Juice and Zest Fresh lemon enhances flavor.
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Use half-and-half for lighter version.
For the Topping
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese Pecorino Romano can be used.
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese Any cheese that melts well can be swapped.
For the Finish
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 0.25 cup Chopped Fresh Parsley Optional garnish.

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the linguine or spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and keep slightly firm.
  3. In a large skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, stirring for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the large shrimp to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until pink and opaque. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  5. Deglaze the pan with ½ cup of white wine or chicken broth, scraping up any bits. Let simmer for about 2 minutes.
  6. Stir in lemon juice and zest along with 1 cup of heavy cream, bringing to a gentle simmer and seasoning with salt and pepper.
  7. Fold the cooked pasta into the creamy sauce until well-coated.
  8. Transfer to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and layer the cooked shrimp on top.
  9. Sprinkle ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese over the top.
  10. Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbling.
  11. Let it rest for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh parsley and serving.
