Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, combine your cooked shredded chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, softened cream cheese, and sour cream. Mix until well blended and creamy.
  2. Sprinkle in the garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until spices are evenly mixed.
  3. Lay one flour tortilla flat and spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the filling onto the lower third of the tortilla.
  4. Firmly roll the tortilla around the filling, tucking in the sides to secure. Place seam-side down on a tray.
  5. In a skillet, pour about 1 inch of vegetable oil and heat over medium-high heat until it's between 350°F and 375°F.
  6. Carefully add the taquitos seam-side down into the hot oil, frying for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  7. Once golden brown, remove from oil and place on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve warm with toppings.
