  • 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne powder Adjust based on spice tolerance.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Fresh garlic can enhance flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt For the filling.
  • 2 tablespoons Dried parsley Adds freshness.
For Cooking
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For baking.

Method
 

Dough Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Create a well in the center and add honey along with lukewarm water. Knead for 10-12 minutes until smooth and elastic. Shape into a ball, coat with sunflower oil, and cover to rest for 30 minutes.
Filling Preparation
  1. Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté the chopped yellow onion for 3-4 minutes until translucent. Add chopped chicken thighs, ras el hanout, turmeric, cayenne, garlic powder, and salt. Cook for 6-7 minutes until the chicken is cooked through. Stir in dried parsley and allow to cool.
Shaping and Filling
  1. Divide the rested dough into 9 pieces (about 85g each). Roll each piece into a ball, flatten into a thin sheet, and place filling in the center. Fold edges over to seal.
Cooking
  1. Preheat a non-stick frying pan on medium heat with olive oil. Cook each msmen for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
