For the Garlic Yogurt Sauce
  • 1 cup Plain Yogurt Can use lactose-free yogurt.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice Fresh juice recommended.
  • 1 clove Optional Minced Garlic For extra flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, and fresh parsley.
  2. Sprinkle in the ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, and black pepper, mixing well.
  3. Moisten hands with water and shape the mixture into 10-12 oval-shaped patties.
  4. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat, and brush with olive oil.
  5. Carefully place the kofta on the grill and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, checking for an internal temperature of 75°C/165°F.
  6. Mix yogurt with lemon juice and a pinch of salt; add minced garlic if desired.
  7. Once cooked, let the kofta rest before serving with garlic yogurt sauce.
