  • 1 bunch Fresh Spinach opt for tender leaves
  • 2 cloves Garlic finely minced
  • 1 stalk Green Onion chopped finely
For the Flavor
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce low-sodium recommended
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Toasted Sesame Oil
For the Crunch
  • 1 tablespoon Toasted Sesame Seeds or sunflower seeds as alternative

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Trim the spinach by rinsing under cold water and chopping into roughly 2-inch pieces.
  2. Blanch the spinach in boiling salted water for about 30 seconds.
  3. Cool the blanched spinach in an ice bath before draining it thoroughly.
  4. Mix the cooled spinach with minced garlic, chopped green onion, soy sauce, salt, and sesame oil in a bowl.
  5. Serve the Korean Spinach Side Dish at room temperature or chilled.
