- Begin by preparing your filling for the Crispy Wonton-Wrapped Shrimp. In a mixing bowl, combine peeled and deveined shrimp with minced garlic, finely chopped green onions, grated ginger, salt, and pepper. Mix well and allow the filling to marinate for about 15 minutes.
- While the filling marinates, heat a generous amount of oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Aim for a temperature of around 350°F.
- Take each wonton wrapper and place a spoonful of the shrimp mixture in the center. Brush the edges with beaten egg to help seal. Fold the wrapper in half and pinch the edges to secure.
- Once your oil is ready, gently place the filled wontons into the hot oil. Fry for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove the crispy wonton-wrapped shrimp and drain on paper towels. Serve with sweet chili sauce or soy sauce for dipping.
