Making the Custard

- Pour the custard mixture over the bread cubes, pressing gently to soak them.
Baking
- If making the overnight version, cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours.
- Drizzle melted butter over the top, and for the overnight version, sprinkle brown sugar.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or 30-35 minutes for the cinnamon roll version until golden and firm.
- Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
