Step-by-Step Instructions for Strawberry Mousse
- Wash and hull approximately 2 cups of fresh strawberries. Mash or puree until smooth.
- In a chilled mixing bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Fold the pureed strawberries into the whipped cream. Add 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Spoon the mixture into serving glasses, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Garnish with whipped cream or fresh strawberries and serve immediately.
