Ingredients
  

For the Tea Base
  • 1 cup Thai Tea Mix Alternatively use bold black tea like Assam or Ceylon.
  • 4 cups Water For boiling.
For Sweetness
  • 2/3 to 3/4 cup Sugar Adjust to taste, can use coconut sugar or agave.
For the Zing
  • 2/3 cup Fresh Lime Juice Lemon can be used in a pinch.
  • a pinch Salt Optional, to balance sweetness.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil in a small pot over medium-high heat.
  2. Add 1 cup of Thai tea mix into the hot water and steep for 4-5 minutes.
  3. Strain the tea into a large pitcher, discarding the used tea leaves.
  4. Stir in 2/3 to 3/4 cup of sugar while the tea is still warm.
  5. Add 4 cups of cold water and 2/3 cup of fresh lime juice to the sweetened tea.
  6. Serve over ice and garnish with a lime wheel or mint if desired.

Notes
