Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine warm milk and active dry yeast; let it froth for 5–10 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Create a well in the center, then stir in the melted butter and the yeasted milk mixture.
- Mix until a shaggy dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for about 1 hour.
- Punch the dough down, transfer to a floured surface, and roll it out into a rectangle about ½ inch thick.
- Brush the surface with melted butter, then sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and chocolate chips.
- Starting from one edge, roll the dough tightly into a log and seal the seam.
- Slice the log into 2-inch-thick rolls and place them in a greased baking dish.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and let the rolls rest for 20 minutes.
- Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and puffed up.

Notes
Allow rolls to cool slightly before drizzling with icing or chocolate for the best texture and flavor.
