Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare the asparagus.
  2. Place trimmed asparagus in a single layer on a greased baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper, then bake for 15-17 minutes.
  3. Remove from oven and sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan over asparagus; return to oven for 2-3 minutes until cheese melts.
  4. While cheese melts, heat skillet over medium heat, melt salted butter, and toast panko breadcrumbs for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Add garlic powder and lemon juice to toasted breadcrumbs, stir and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  6. Once cheese is melted, sprinkle the lemony breadcrumbs over cheesy asparagus, add lemon zest, and serve warm.
