Step-by-Step Instructions for Miso Butter Salmon
- In a medium bowl, combine 1/2 cup softened unsalted butter, 2 tablespoons white miso paste, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger, and 2 cloves minced garlic. Mash together until smooth.
- Take salmon fillets and place them skin-side down on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Spread about 1/4 cup of miso butter over the tops of the fillets.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes until opaque and flaky. Optionally, broil for the last 1-2 minutes.
- For air fryer, preheat to 400°F (200°C), line the basket with parchment, cook salmon for 9-10 minutes until flaky.
- Transfer cooked salmon to a platter, drizzle remaining miso butter, and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
