  • 2 tablespoons White Miso Paste Regular miso can substitute, adjust saltiness.
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar Coconut sugar or honey can be used as a twist.
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger Grated; ground ginger is a quick substitute.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced; fresh garlic preferred.

Step-by-Step Instructions for Miso Butter Salmon
  1. In a medium bowl, combine 1/2 cup softened unsalted butter, 2 tablespoons white miso paste, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger, and 2 cloves minced garlic. Mash together until smooth.
  2. Take salmon fillets and place them skin-side down on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Spread about 1/4 cup of miso butter over the tops of the fillets.
  3. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes until opaque and flaky. Optionally, broil for the last 1-2 minutes.
  4. For air fryer, preheat to 400°F (200°C), line the basket with parchment, cook salmon for 9-10 minutes until flaky.
  5. Transfer cooked salmon to a platter, drizzle remaining miso butter, and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
