  • 1 tsp Dried Thyme Use Italian seasoning as substitute.
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano Use Italian seasoning as substitute.
  • 1 cup Chicken or Seafood Stock Vegetable stock can be used for vegetarian option.

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Marinate the shrimp with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper for about 15 minutes.
  2. Sauté diced onion, green bell pepper, and celery in unsalted butter and olive oil for 5-7 minutes, then add minced garlic for another 30 seconds.
  3. Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1-2 minutes, then add more smoked paprika, a pinch of cayenne, thyme, oregano, stock, and Worcestershire sauce; simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  4. In another skillet, heat olive oil and cook marinated shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  5. Transfer cooked shrimp to sauce skillet and gently stir to combine; simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Serve over rice, grits, or in tacos; garnish with parsley and lemon wedges.
