  3. Pour in chicken broth, add chicken breast, bay leaves, oregano, thyme, and red pepper flakes. Stir and simmer.
  4. Reduce heat, partially cover, and let simmer for 25–30 minutes until chicken is tender.
  5. Remove chicken, shred, and return to pot. Add pasta and cook for an additional 8–10 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat, stir in lemon juice and parsley. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  7. Ladle into bowls, garnish with parsley and Parmigiano-Reggiano if desired. Serve warm.
