- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the sliced smoked sausage over medium-high heat for about 5–7 minutes until browned.
- In the same skillet, add butter and sauté diced onion for 3–4 minutes until soft.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in cream cheese until melted, then gradually add heavy whipping cream, whisking continuously for 3–5 minutes.
- Incorporate shredded cheddar cheese into the sauce until fully melted and creamy.
- In a large bowl, combine the steamed cauliflower, broccoli, and sautéed sausage; pour the cheese sauce over and stir to coat.
- Transfer mixture to a baking dish and bake for 15–20 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
