Step-by-Step Instructions for LEBANESE SPICED TEA
  1. In a medium saucepan, pour in 4 cups of cold water and bring to a rapid boil.
  2. Once boiling, stir in 2-3 cinnamon sticks, 1 tablespoon of sliced fresh ginger, 1 teaspoon of anise seeds, and a pinch of nutmeg. Mix well.
  3. Lower the heat and let the mixture gently simmer for 1 to 1.5 hours, covered.
  4. After simmering, whisk in 2/3 cup of granulated sugar until dissolved, adjusting to your taste.
  5. Using a fine-mesh sieve, strain the tea into a teapot. Layer chopped nuts into each teacup and pour the hot tea over them.

Notes
