  • 2 cups broccoli steamed or sautéed

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine lean ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Roll portions of the meat mixture into 1 to 1.5-inch meatballs and place on a plate.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with vegetable oil. Add meatballs in a single layer and sear for about 5-7 minutes until browned. Set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Stir well and let simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  5. Return the meatballs to the skillet, coat with the sauce, and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Steam or sauté broccoli until bright green and tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  7. Serve cooked rice topped with meatballs and broccoli on the side. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
