Step-by-Step Instructions for Spicy Korean Tofu
- Begin by draining and pressing your firm tofu to rid it of excess moisture, then slice it into 1/4-inch rectangles.
- Finely chop the green onion, setting aside some for garnish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sugar, minced garlic, Korean red chili powder, optional red chili, white sesame seeds, sesame oil, and water. Whisk together.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Arrange tofu pieces in a single layer, frying for about 3–4 minutes until golden brown.
- Once the tofu is seared, pour the sauce over them and simmer for 2–4 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Transfer the Spicy Korean Tofu to a serving platter, spoon sauce over the tofu and sprinkle with reserved green onion.

Notes
Ensure tofu is well-drained for best texture. Using a non-stick skillet prevents sticking and aids in achieving the golden-brown texture.
