Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just incorporated. Form the mixture into 1-inch balls, yielding about 20–24 meatballs. Set aside.
  2. Heat a tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs to the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Transfer the meatballs to a plate.
  3. In the same skillet, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and rice vinegar. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for about 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
  4. Return the seared meatballs to the skillet and gently stir them into the sauce. Mix cornstarch with a splash of water to form a slurry, pour it into the skillet, and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve hot over rice, noodles, or veggies.
