  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract Vanilla extract can be used as a substitute.
For the Base
  • 4 cups Chex/square cereal Any square or puffed cereal can be substituted.

Equipment

  • microwave-safe bowl
  • spatula
  • Gallon-sized zip bag
  • Baking Sheet

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by pouring 1 cup of white chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in the microwave on high for 1 minute, then stir. If the chocolate hasn’t completely melted, heat for an additional 30 seconds.
  2. Once the chocolate is melted, stir in 1 teaspoon of lemon extract. Gently add 4 cups of Chex cereal to the bowl, using a spatula to coat the cereal evenly.
  3. Fold in 1 cup of freeze-dried strawberries into the chocolate-coated cereal mixture. Ensure the strawberries are evenly distributed throughout the mix.
  4. Prepare a gallon-sized zip bag by adding 1/4 cup of powdered sugar. Transfer the cereal and strawberry mixture into the bag and shake vigorously until well-coated.
  5. Spread the coated mixture onto a lined baking sheet and allow it to cool for about 30 minutes at room temperature before transferring to an airtight container.
