Shrimp Ingredients

Method
 

Sauce Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together sweet chili sauce, Tamari or soy sauce, honey, Sriracha, lemon juice and zest, and minced garlic. Set aside.
Shrimp Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, season the peeled and deveined shrimp with salt and pepper. In another bowl, combine flour and cornstarch. Coat shrimp in flour mixture.
Frying Shrimp
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet. Dip each shrimp in beaten egg, then fry for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
Combining and Coating
  1. In the skillet, heat the firecracker sauce until it simmers. Add fried shrimp and coat thoroughly.
Serving
  1. Serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds and chives. Pair with rice or vegetable sides.
