Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large pot over medium heat until shimmering, about 2 minutes.
  2. Add 1 cup of diced onions and 1 cup of chopped green bell peppers. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in 1 cup of uncooked long-grain white rice and cook for an additional 2 minutes, stirring to toast lightly.
  4. Pour in 2 cups of broth and add 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon each of garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika, along with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer for 18-20 minutes until liquid is absorbed.
  6. Remove from heat and let sit covered for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Fluff the rice gently with a fork and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
