Method
 

Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then add eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract and mashed bananas.
  4. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips, reserving some for topping.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, sprinkle reserved chocolate chips on top, and bake for about 60 minutes.
  7. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
