Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Cut boneless, skinless chicken breasts into nugget-sized pieces. Submerge in buttermilk and season with salt, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Marinate for at least one hour, ideally overnight.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper until well blended.
  3. Remove marinated chicken from buttermilk and coat each piece in the seasoned flour mixture, shaking off excess flour.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to approximately 350°F. Fry coated chicken pieces in batches for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Transfer fried nuggets to a wire rack over a baking sheet to drain excess oil.
  6. Prepare chosen sauces by mixing the ingredients in a small bowl until well combined.
  7. Toss warm, crispy nuggets in selected sauce until well coated. Serve immediately with sides like fries or salad.
